Horse for Sale: Boot Up 16hh Bay Gelding 9yrs old. Passport with Weatherbys, vaccinated, microchipped, fit & ready to go. Not only a dream horse but could also be your best friend. He has Pre Novice evented as 5yr old, schooled around some BE Novice courses jumped with ease, competed unaff dressage to Elementary level, sj up to large open, ode and xc currently competing in 3ft 6in classes too many placings & winnings. Been on all RC Area Teams and competed at 4 out of 5 RC National Championships in 08. Qualified for Trailblazers finals dressage and sj with a 13yr girl in 07. Qualified for Trailblazers finals dressage & SJ in 08. Was Manor Grange Stud Summer and Winter Prelim Dressage Champion in 07/08. This horse as potential to go far BD, BSJA, BE or just as a RC/PC has also hunted with previous owner. Hacks alone/in company, good in all traffic, boxes in trailer/wagon, good to shoe, clip, dogs, children, snaffle mouth for all disciplines not strong. He would suit mother/daughter share even quiet enough for grandma to hack out, someone moving off ponies. He has his back, teeth checked every 6mths this boy has wanted for nothing. For Sale: 17HH 4 year old Warmblood Bay gelding out of an SDWA (now SSHA) mare, by Holsteiner stallion, Feraree, a product of some of the most eminent lines in Holsteiner breeding. Progeny of this cross have previously proved equally able in either the dressage or show jumping disciplines, with four white socks, and white blaze. Broken in and riding away nicely, very honest horse, very well mannered and keen to learn has lunged over fences and is already showing potential. For Sale: Approx 16.2 big boned, classy & flashy chesnut gelding, built like a part warmblood. By Halling, from top class family. Thought to be a super Young Event Horse Prospect for next year. Raced a few times on flat but too slow, correct, sound, clean legged. Super mover & schooled over poles, showing beautiful, large, classy jump, type to excel eventing/sj or make very classy hunter/allrounder. Good quiet, sensible snaffle ride, very laidback character! For Sale: 3yo Geld, approx 15.3/16hh. Last ran 20th Oct on flat but too slow. Honest & genuine type, popped cross poles nicely, sure to make a nice hunting project this winter & go on to make nice hack or Riding Club type/allrounder. Welcome to Malton Riding Club
Established in 2000 Malton & District Riding Club is one of 400 Affiliated British Riding clubs located throughout the UK, following the set up of the British Riding Clubs by the British Horse Society in 1953.
As a club we regularly hold flatwork, show jumping and xc clinics which are held throughout the year and offer a good level of training. The club regularly holds events for members and non members. Members have the advantage of entry fees at a reduced cost. See our events page for details of the MDRC competitions.
Our members are encouraged to try competing in new disciplines and to compete at Area level. British Riding Clubs divide the whole of the UK into areas : Malton & District Riding Club is in Area 4. Members can compete on teams or as individuals at Area 4 competitions, if successful get to represent the Area at National Riding Club Championships which has a great atmosphere and a lot of members go down purely for support and a great time is had by all.
We have competed at Lincoln Championships now for several years with many placings,in 2007 Emma Taylor and Downtown Tilly were crowned Individual Junior SJ Champion, 2007 senior team finished 8th team at the Hartbury indoor sj championships, senior team 5th 2008 Aston Le Walls xc championships, senior team 8th 2008 at Off Churchbury ODE Championships where Charlotte Knock took an indiviual Junior ODE Champion title, senior team 5th Intermediate SJ at LIncoln 09 and Wendy Hoggard took indiviual Senior Riding test Champion in her arena also finishing 3rd overall at Lincoln in 09. As a club each year we attract more and more members and each year we go from strength to strength.
As a club were the only one in the UK in 2008 to be placed in the top 10 in team events at 3 of the 5 BRC National Championships that have taken place. Quite an achievement!
We are a friendly club every one is willing to offer a helping hand whether it be riding or just general advice, it is great fun socially and a chance to meet new friends.
